good if they have, although the prt isn't listed for pre 2001 models it is an upgrade that I and many others have fitted to theirs.

i would bet it needs bleeding but lets see how it goes ;)

I think you are probably right! Considering removing it from current garage and taking it elsewhere. I am between Doncaster and Lincoln.

They clearly aren't land rover specialist cos they don't know basics like oh I don't know! How a thermostat works! Omg it gives mechanics a bad name, bet they've screwed something up, it's a k series they're really common if a mechanic can't figure out how to bleed one he shouldn't be allowed near one:( I'm just outside Nottingham near Melton Mowbray! Rant over:D

She's welcome to pm me and see if I can help. Can't go that far for a freebie tho:( local yes, and coffee cake don't count;)

Omg! If its overheating for some strange reason that won't stop it unless the impellers fallen off or chucking the stat in the bin fixes it!

what those 2 dont know about 1.8 coolant systems aint worth knowing.....

Aw MHM you make me all teary eye'd :D.

Reet Lorrain, sorry I'm late to this party.

First off, DD is right, the K series is not a complex beast and if they cannae fix it then they aren't worth the fool to get there.
We have done crazy, dark, borderline unethical things to these engines and we know what makes them sad. I;ve sent you a PM with some options :).

Don't worry, it just needs a deft touch and perhaps a few whacks with the persuader mallet.

You're in good hands here, welcome.

Will.
