Hi all,

Just wondering if Freelander doors tend to freeze up in sub zero temperatures? my last vehicle was terrible for this ...I have an early morning job and no garage so just getting prepared :)

Thanks

Brack

The rear window freezes and wont drop,
You can't open the rear door'
If you pull to hard you break off the handle

i never lock mine, nothing in worth pinching, parked in drive overnight, thinking of putting a greenhouse tube heater in, at night and switch on in the morning, through a extension lead in house, that should defrost it ,

A mate of mine was telling me that with his Dodge Challenger, all he has to do it press a button in his house and it warms the cabin and the seats all by itself without him even having to go outside.

And they say 'merican cars are rubbish! Pah!

Sounds great, but they can't go round corners you know ;)

He did concede that when I mentioned it to him. He says he'll smoke honda's and mustangs at lights but as soon as a wild corner appears it's curtains for the Challenger. In many cases it is also windows and doors.

He is in Virginia though so lots of nice straight roads ;).

fair enuff ;)

they're pretty dire on our mean streets though :D

Yep, I kind of admore the "purity" of the design, though some might call it primitive. Like a live rear axle for instance on the mustang. They do look good though.

There's just nothing out there that's going to beat the roard going rally cars like the Evo and the Impreza here though. Nothing.

Anyway, winter! Snow! Coffee on a deserted hilltop road in the snow! The joys of winter 4x4 ownership :D. Hell I think I've just coind a phrase - White Laning - deliberately going out in adverse weather conditions to enjoy deserted roads and gloat at stranded Yaris's.

Basically whenever the roads are anything more than mildly damp. I still can't believe people who hurtle down the outside lane in old fiesta's at 90 in pouring rain. People can be so thick.

a road should be driven according to the conditions and not as fast as the car will allow.

it's darwinism in action, apart from the peeps that get crashed into by these morons.

That's the problem, they take out "fit" drivers and it's them I feel sorry for. I'm annoyed that the coppers let people off when I watch road cops or whatever, why "change people's attitudes" when you can just give them a 3 month ban? They're only going to be speeding again tomorrow! They didn't let me off when I was caught doing 36 in a 30 by a fixed camera (thought it was a 40 zone, my bad.) Why the fook does someone doing 110 in a Bimmer on the M3 get away with it?

People overtaking in sleet and snow dangerously put everyone's lives at risk :(.

Mine never did and it went down to minus 20 here last winter ;)

Phew thats a relief, In my old Vitara all the doors/locks froze up except for the rear door - had to climb in through the back, start up the engine and drive to work with frozen shut doors..what going on.

:):)

The Freelander is better in snow than my Terrano was!!
