Fault code 3%u?

Hi all

Anyone seen this fault code '3%u' which my Disco II is giving? My mechanic mate has not seen it before.

The only problem we know of is that when going from Drive to Reverse there is a little bit of a 'jump' and then the 'S & M' lights flash (gearbox limp mode?) This is now happening every time we select reverse gear. Switching off and then back on clears it.

My research has unearthed a possible problem with an 'XYZ' switch (gearbox selector switch?)

Anyone care to elaborate?

What kind of diagnostic equipment was used?

xyz switch is located on passenger side of gearbox selector shaft goes through it ,it tells ecu which gear is selected is adjustable with 2 x slotted holes m8 bolts can be changed quite easy by first removing selector cable ,gear box ecu under passenger seat can give same fault, borrow one if poss to try
