Hi, on my D2 face lift 2003 LHD, td5, auto, rear spiral. I have a 4 Amigo fault.

When the WABCO D is read with a Lynx ABS reader I get a fault code,

4080 Pump Relay (Power Amp. with short to U vent) current

This is new to me any hints about problem?

Regards JimP

Hi, the "4 amigos"(ABS/HDC/TC + Brake/Handbrake light) is normal for a short circuit code on that path as you can see in the picture below, it can be the relay itself or if you are unlucky enough a ECU fault or a wiring issue on that circuit, swap relay R10(ABS pump) with R8(heated screen) and see what happens, if te fault goes away put a new relay if still the same we'll speak then

Moved the relays 8 and 10 tried to wipe the fault code but it stayed "current"

ps. thanks for a very quick reply I was shocked

Bad luck then cos the ECU becomes suspect, remove the relay, go for a short drive then read the code again, if you get the same code not and open circuit too it can be a short on the wiring between the ECU and fusebox, within the fusebox or ECU fault... troublesghooting is needed based on the circuit diagrams on that circuit

Just an update, could not find any information on Lynx fault code 4080 Pump Relay (power Amp with Short to U vent).

So I changed the original SLABS box (SRD 000150) with another older version (SRD 000050) and the fault was gone. Replaced with the original and the fault was back. So now I can drive with the exchange box while I save up to buy an SRD 500070. The black box exchange was a little fiddly but now I am an expert.

All the best JimP
