Hi,
I seen a few posts about this error code but none seem to be quite the same symptoms as mine. I have 2000 Discovery 2 td5 auto. When I start the car up I get the check engine light come on and flashing M & S lights. I've plugged in my nanocom I get the following error for the gearbox:
CODE P1884
CAN MESSAGE WFPDK (DKI) INVALID (FFH)
---
CODE P1884
CAN MESSAGE MD_IND INVALID
(FLAG F_TL_MES)
I cleared the codes with the engine off but the ignition on but shortly after the engine starts the errors are back. As soon as the error code appears the car goes into limp home mode. I also have a list of errors from the engine:
(1,8) MANIFOLD PRESSURE CIRCUIT, (LOGGED LOW).
---
(2,7) DRIVER DEMAND SUPPLY PROBLEM, (LOGGED LOW).
---
(2,8) AMBIENT PRESSURE CIRCUIT, (LOGGED LOW).
---
(9,6) EGR INLET THROTTLE OPEN LOAD, (LOGGED).
---
(13,6) EGR INLET THROTTLE SHORT CIRCUIT, (CURRENT).
---
(21,4) DRIVER DEMAND 1 OUT OF RANGE (LOGGED).
---
(21,5) DRIVER DEMAND 2 OUT OF RANGE (LOGGED).
---
(21,6) PROBLEMS DETECTED WITH DRIVER DEMAND (LOGGED).
---
(25,4) DRIVER DEMAND 1 OUT OF RANGE (LOGGED).
---
(25,5) DRIVER DEMAND 2 OUT OF RANGE (LOGGED).
---
(25,6) PROBLEMS DETECTED WITH DRIVER DEMAND (CURRENT).
---
I know some can be ignored, for example EGR as this is not fitted to my generation of D2. If any has any suggestions as to what could be causing this I would be keen to hear them. Thanks
