It is a minefield

Bloody flat tyre this morning

Got to take it off the rim in a minute and clean it all up. No puncture or anything so I guess it is just dirt between the rim and tyre

Will have to grab a rim from the workshop tomorrow and put my other big BFG on it for a spare.

Steering box is leaking where the input shaft enters it. PAS fluid dripping off my steering guard . Can you get the seal or is it a job of reconning the box?

It is easy to do. Hard part can be getting the drop arm off.

Just to let you guys know, if any of you own white vans, a friend of mine had his number plates taken off his van the other night in the Braintree area. Police recon they are for a fill up and run at a petrol station. Just thought i'd let you know.

This happened to one of our transits a while ago. Sadly the cctv showed a blank van whereas ours are sign written

done them shims

broke solid brake pipe that mounts to top of swivel bearing :doh:

cue 4 ish hours looking for some kind of brake fitting . . .

found a spare harley-d stainless pipe that just fit.


and on way home in the wee hours my full beam packs in.:doh:

dip still ok
fogs (wired to high) ok
high beam flash ok (with fogs)
but click to high beam and i gets SFA

reckoning its the stalk / switch.

Yep enjoyed yesterday, thanks Graham. Done a couple of those before but most were new to me. Shame Violets wasnt that deep

The bit with the narrow track and 10 foot drop on the passenger side was 'interesting'

Less said about that the better as everbody will want to do it.

Debenham ford was dry by April last year. Hopefully a little more rain this spring....

Sounds like fun was had.
So the spots which were a couple of foot, how deep are they when the shallow bits are a couple of foot

I have 3 and half hours footage from yesterday and have condensed it down to around 30mins of the best bits. Will probably have to cut it up into 10 min chunks to get it on facebook or you tube without waiting 6 months for it to upload

Done some lovely lanes this evening but not in the usual mode of transport....... I took the horse lorry instead...... not down the lane but into the general area then got the horse out of the box then drove the horse down the lanes. Much easier getting a horse down the lanes than a wide disco Nearly knocked myself clean out on a low branch though

Oh, and with the horse, you don't have to stop to keep filling it up with diesel. BUT I'd rather the land rover as it has a heater!
