Old bill were there along with army and a bloke from Rover Rescue. Thought i'd just watch then when the standard Landy failed i offered to give it a go. Chucked it in 1st, low range and diff lock and it pulled away with no drama and chugged up the hill. :D

Guy

I was out on a Rover Rescue call last night, (Rover Rescue is the Landrover equiverlant/part of the 4x4 network)

Transporting a doctor, then this morning a couple of carers, and I am just about to go out again to transport somemore carers, not as much fun as towing , but kept warm in the motor......

Not only do they help tarnsport they also help with things like SulSar, providing transport

Gonna get one in the morning. Had a chat with the guy from RAC and he said they've known Tesco fuel doesn't cope well in the extreme cold. I've never put Tesco diesel in my Landy before, up until last night..........

Mines been fine with Tesco fuel.

Mines been no problem as either, nor has any of my other desiel motors over the years...... last petrol one I had was about 5 years ago for about about 3 months, dont know where there deisel comes from but there is only so many peterol companys that refine and mix oil's

Won't be able to make Wednesday cos my rear shock bushes have totally gone! My local garage can't fit them til after Christmas!

I know it a bit nippy out, but doing them yourself is quite straight forward.
no more than a couple of hours. got a couple of hours free this afternoon if you want a hand.

Did they gear to pull it as i am assuming a 5 ton strap isnt going to be much use :D

Was out and about round Braintree/Halstead yesterday but found no one stuck :(

Think my front passagneres windw now broken , it seems not to want to wind up and down........got it up now but it feels a bit lose.

Suffolk Rover Rescue sugest a 8m 12 tonne rope or strop, think its taken from the 4x4 Network.

They were already gone, whats changed?

If the weather stays this way I should be home on Wednesday as It wont be worth driving round to west London to the office and risk getting stuck on the motorways.

If I am, you and Geoff are welcome to come over to my place to change them on my drive and use my Compressor.

Was the lift pump causing my running problems, £45 later new pump and filter and its was running again.
Just a shame it was broken into last night, brand new cb and aerial gone, headunit nicked along with atleast 80 litres of diesel. :(

Yer was parked outside cause wouldn't start to get it inside.

Dam! Thats bad times! Spoke to ya earlier for 22seconds right after I chucked a large latte/weak coffee over Jody! --think ya hung up on me! Cry/cry/cry.

Were gonna try do my shock bushes at Geoffs and if we have no luck then I'm gonna try Brians, and if I still have no luck I'm just gonna push it in to a river (I'll give you my cb & arieal) then I will start a new hobby ..... Jigsaw puzzles or oil painting!

Stu? Where are we meeting Wednesday (am gonna bring my oil painting kit & jigsaw puzzle with me)?
