Essex lanes

Did not finish last night until gone 7:30 so could not go, wardrobe now in bits, all jobs now done after doing some food shoping, can now get on with putting Patch back together.

Had an eventful evening myself starting with finding my rear brake calipers are shagged.

Managed to eventually get some new pads in there but new calipers are now on my shopping list.

Only got stuck a couple of times in deep ruts, I think my tow bar did not help there, and thanks to Mikey got pulled through them.

Then after most folks had started there journey home, on the second to last lane there was a few trees to manoeuvre round right on the lane.

Thought I had cleared them all and was driving along but did not see a nasty hidden thick stump about mirror hight in the foliage.

Result, missing passenger door mirror and a few minutes to manoeuvre past it without putting out a rear window, like I have done in the past.

Just a small dent to show for it.

My missus was not pleased and has confiscated my Skoda for work today. :lol:

The first dent is the worse one :eek:
 
It was a good night seeing new lanes. I think we shouldve gone home when DiscoDad did as the ones after werent much cop. But got to bed at half 3 in the end so it was a longun!

Did you get to the ford? if not I didnt miss much!
 
We did the ford, but it was only about a foot deep and half the length of Terling. Did a cautionary one then all had a blast back through, but not so easy to turn around each side and it was gone midnight next to a house.

Spike picked up a little water in the airbox so probably went a little faster than me, definately Snorkel time before my next trip.

Peterborough here we come.... :)

Got the bit cut and welded that I wanted to do today. Just got to re-build around where the fuel filler pipe goes down the rear quarter then the boot panels are all sorted. Can then get the new rear seat mounts in with a few new tie down points, rivet down main boot panel then I CAN COME AND PLAY AGAIN!!!!! :) :) :)

You are kidding Geoff???? mines now gone from dark grey to light brown.... :lol:

I dread to think what its gonna look like after a wash tomorrow. :eek:

I've got a quick meeting with an engineer tomorrow early morning about making up a staircase then will be back at home from 9am onwards. Nick is coming around 11am.

I'm hoping to sort my last weld on the rear tomorrow morning then I can start refitting interior!!! So if you want to pop round then, do so. If not 11 ish is fine.
 
Joy my daily driver the Passat had to be towed home by the RAC tonight. Looks to be piston ring failure.
Just gonna go outside and pluck some money out of thin air to buy a new runaround. :rolleyes:
