Mine's working, its just not much fun greenlaning on your own....

Being on tired, standard suspension and road tyres means it dont like ruts any more and tends to ground out a lot....

I might sell it and move on.

Good idea

as soon as my motorbike is back on the road my landy is coming off the road and having a major overhaul of the engine, gearbox, axles, suspension, fuel system and electrics so it will be ready for playtime later in the year

What machine do you have Brian?

Its a 3.9 V8 Discovery ES Spec, Leather M reg

Its pretty good in terms of rust, the floors are solid, the sunroofs dont leak, the chassis is good. has MOT and Tax and nearly new road tyres.

Its a bit scratched up though the laning and off roading, has a very expensive bomb proof steering guard and bulbars with spotlamps

I am going to Billing this weekend with a notice in the window.

I am going to put £1500 ono

hey got me discovery on friday went greenalaning fri sat and sunday bumped into a guy with a 90 pickup from surry on sunday out at norwood end there was a convoy of them just want to say thanks for the advise have had a bit of a spend up tonite on the card !!!!

had great fun round stebbing sunday morning

Im after getting a mot then might be out again before flogging the old girl.Time for a disco next i think.

You met us Herts lot. Well some of us. I didn't realise you'd just got your disco. We hadn't driven most of the lanes we did on Sunday, but we're very well equipped for pretty much anything.
Big word of advise, don't go out alone to lanes that you haven't driven before and know that they're well OK for you vehicle's capability, or it may end in tears. Especially as you didn't have recovery points and road tyres. I don't want to dampen your enthusiasm, just be aware of the risks.

Alright chaps thought Id check in with evryone and see what yer all up to.Got a new mota yet Stu?

Finally went to some local lanes. Did four during the day and two at night to test my light positioning properly. Went pretty well considering it was just my vehicle and the only evidence of me passing through was a couple of scuffs from my rear diff. I bumped into two guys on quads who mentioned someone got stuck earlier in the day and had to call his wife out =D

I walk the route before-hand and depth check any water i'm going into. And besides, I drive Land Rovers in various parts of the world for a living.
