The V5 is what you need to get the EKA code. If fob needs sync you cannot do it whilst engine is disabled. You need EKA code first. Then when alarm is disabled putting key in ignition will sync it.

When you get your EKA code. You must enter it via the door lock in a certain way.
Ok say your code is 4263.

First from the upright position turn the key carefully four times to the left and back to upright. The indicators will flash each time this is done.

This sets the ECU ready to recieve the code.

Then to input the EKA code turn the key four times to the right and back to upright.

Then twice to the left and back to upright.

Then six times to the right and back to upright.

Then three times to the left and back to upright.

When ignition is switched on engine disabled should be gone and fob should sync with alarm.

many thanks

Only for the four times left then back to up right. Lights don't flash after that. If you put it in wrong three times you have to wait for an hour before you can do it again. So when you get your code do it carefully. If it does not work on the second try. Open door and close it for three more attempts. If you cry on the phone maybe they will tell you the EKA code, normally you have to go in person with your V5. This to prove ownership.
