Ive brought this subject up a bunch of times and had some good advice and suggestions. However, the problem aint going away.To re-cap :

if left, the battery will flattern in 2-3 days.Numerous new quality batteries, new alternator, etc.Even with a solar panel on it flattens (thats how desperate I am ! It'll be magic beans next.....)

When attempting to start it has all the hallmarks of a pump not advancing for coldstart. The manual over-rides suggested have no effect.Injectors have all been tested at local bosch service centre.

RIGHT.....what can I do,short of handing it over to a LR garage and paying more than the vehicle is realistically worth?

PLEASE...any suggestions other than burn it would be greatly appreciated. Im down on Bodmin Moor, not far from DP LR and under 20 from Mid Cornwall.Like everyone I dont have a lot of cash but am not looking for a free ride....I dont mind paying people for their time and knowledge. But I cant afford garage rates......HELP!!

I'm no sparky but I think the key to your problem is the battery drain.

If I had this issue I would be connecting a multimeter to the battery neg and pos to measure the drain with everything turned off but the car unlocked.

Then one by one remove a fuse from the various fuse boxes until the drain stops - you have now isolated which circuit is giving the problem.

If you can organise so that the meter is still connected with the bonnet fully closed, then lock the car and note any changes in the readings.

Then work from there...................................

Good luck

Dave

To measure a load remove the poss battery lead connection and then you need to put your multmeter in series with the lead and the battery terminal to get a reading but only if your meter can handle amps.
You will only read voltage and battery resistance with leads across the two terminals.

Told you I was no sparky - thanks Discool.
