Hi ... interested in the Landy but confused as to why no Vin ... it should be on a plate on the brake vacuum servo under the bonnet ... wouldn't buy it without one so would like to know please. Also no cowling on steering column?? Pray tell ... thanks.

Fair point there Chunky ... and stripped all the vin plates off himself!

To be honest all his lots seem bizarre. All the vehicles are stashed out of sight. High fences. All the small things are easily nickable. Are those range rover wheels for sale ones going on the fender?

Asked the guy if he would take cash no questioned asked, trailered away wink wink deal not through ebay. Awaiting reply

Well I did actually get a reply from him tonight, which reads:

yes no vin i bought 4 months ago like this without winch, bumper, lift,cab and windscreen
so i dont know why it has no vin you may find on chhassis

Nothing we can do now it's sold but that's what he replied

Pity, he wouldn't let anyone go view it either. Someone has been diddled.

Interesting - a number of people reported this to eBay - this at least should have resulted in them looking at the listing.

I believe it is illegal to sell a vehicle with no VIN plates, V5, etc. therefore eBay were aware that they were allowing the sale of a potentially stolen vehicle and did not interviene. Surely this makes eBay responsible for handling stolen goods?

Got a reply from e-bay informing me to report the vehicle to the police if I had concerns that the Landie was stolen and they would assist the cops with their enquiries !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
