Does anyone know what size the hub nut is on 52 plate?

Going to be changing both front wishbones and all bushes next week, all for the sake of lower ball joint rubbers. Managed to get a pair of new wishbones with all the bushes for £26.00 :D bargino from flebay

You know the ball joint boots are available?
There isn't any need to remove the hub nut to do the lower wishbone ;)

I know ball joint boots are available, but i have some clunking on rough ground so thought i'd change the lot. There all original so due a change.

I originally thought i wouldn't have to but according to rave i do. Do i need to separate the strut from the hub still then?

The last wishbone I changed all I undid was the ball joint nut, the front inner wishbone bolt and the rear mount from the body. The ball joint nut can be a pain to get off the thread as the CV joint is in the way. The trick is to use lots of lube and get the nut nice and free by working it up and down the thread a few times. This way you can break the taper knowing that the nut will come off with ease. Once the nut is free and the taper is broken all you need do is is unbolt the inner and rear mount, the wishbone should then come out easily.
To refit it's just a case of reversing the process, but make sure you fit the nut onto the taper before pushing the taper home or the nut won't fit, and don't fully tighten the inboard fixings until the weight is back on the wheels or the bushes won't last long.
