8 Offside Rear Suspension rod pin or bush worn but not resulting in excessive movement front of axel bush (5.3.4 (a) (I))

I have been sorting out all these faults as fallows

Item

1 Headlight still to do

2 & 3 Replaced top and bottom ball joint, having to grind both ball joints as they would not creak with splitting tool. The ABS sensor would not budge so I ended up snapping it, so had to chisel the bottom of the sensor off so the half shaft would come out, eventually got it all stripped down, cleaned every thing, new ball joints and ABS sensor and reassembled Purchased 2 pairs of ball joints 1 for each side far side still to do some time not needede for the MOT.

4 Purchased a pair of new calipers and pads, when I went to swap them is wasn't the caliper but the half shaft oil seal leaking so had to strip down the rear wheel hub and replaced the seal this time the ABS sensor just popped out. Has I had the new calipers and pads I replaced both sides.

Advisories

1 & 2 Replaced all amber lamps easy.

3 Topped up coolant Easy, didn’t know this was a MOT issue.

4 Oil leaking from sump plus purchased new one and washer, had to drain oil so put new oil in again easy

5 & 6 Front suspension bushes and new bolts purchased, I managed to remove both radios arms off without to much trouble, I had to grind one of the bolts out. I pushed the front bushes out and painted the arms and fitted new Poly bushes refitted the arms.

7 & 8 still to do bushes purchased but the far side bolt would not budge so will attempt this at a later date

I put all the wheels back on got it off the axel stands and Jacks went to start him up but of course the battery was flat.

Charged the Battery and it started first turn of the key

But the Traction control light came on and a fault notice came up I drove it up and down the drive but the ABS light did not go out.

Has anyone got any ideas please

Give all the sensors a gentle tap and try again. Cheapo sensor? They can be a bit hit and miss. If you've a dmm you can check resistance of the new sensor against a known good one. I forget what reading a good one is supposed to be 1000 ohms plus rings a bell.

The ABS sensors have to be pushed in until they touch. I take it the fault notice was for the ABS and not something unrelated? You have to exceed 5mph for the ABS light to go out.
