door hinge adjustment

just replaced door hinges on my drivers door with new hinge and captive nuts etc but still wont close properly and other way i can adjust them it seems as the back tub needs moving back is that possible any suggestions would be very much appreciated cheers rich ............
 
this is adjustment on the door hinges on the bulkhead mounthing bracket that bolts to the footwells.

where it bolts for the chassis is 3 bolts 1/2in or 13mm on mine loosen them and move the bulkhead forward or backwards. thats how i have always done it :)
 
hi thanks for the reply have looked in my haynes manual but cant find any drawing to help find these bolts your on about can you please tell me where to look

have you adjusted door position before tightening bulk head hinge bolts
 
no ,though putting washers or removing them from there can alter bulk head position fore and aft along with supports to the chassis in engine bay which can alter angle if roof and windscreen are altered to suit ,i meant on the hinge itself
 
bulkhead outrigger look on the chassis about 10 inches futher to the front you will see 3 bolts all in a line these are the ones to adjust the bulkhead the top of that bracket bolts to the bulkhead footwells also the rear of the wing bolts to it might take a little pulling a rachet strap or something
