Does anyone keep track of LZ stats?

Just wondering if Roy or anyone else keeps track of the stats for LZ each quarter or annually.

Just looked down at the stats bit on the bottom and we have 32,053 members

I can only name about... 10.

Sure there was not that many when I joined. Be nice to see how many additional members join throughout each year. Oooo It would make a nice line graph in Excel We must be one of the bigger LR forums now? surely.

Anyway, just wanted to air my views :blabla:

well lets see who can be named name as many as you can think of and we will see how many we will end up with.

thats just pointless is it not. You can just cut and paste the massive list at the bottom. And mods prob have access to the 32k names! I just wanted to know how mnay members there were when it started and each consecutive year after that.

What would be interesting to see if how many of those 32k odd are returning members (and often). I bet theres quite a few one time posters.

True, but when compared to other forums, they would also have the same issues. I had a look on other established forums and their memberships are nowhere near 30k. Maybe they have something setup to delete inactive members after a certain period, maybe LZ does not have this feature. Who knows.

It's trolling - it happens quite a bit, mostly on ere from the insecure from the dark side who listen to the chip on their shoulders and feel the need to make their dire forum a bit more interesting but the odd spammer too!

Not all of us have a chip on our shoulders.. I use both sites and enjoy both sites, I feel this one is better for tech stuff and the other side is better for having a laugh....

Landyzone started in March 2004 so:-

2004 - 398 members
2005– 2418 members
2006– 3542 members
2007– 7782 members
2008– 12531 members
So far in 2009 6249

Total 32558
