It's still for sale

Unfortunately the market for pre-facelift TD5's has dropped noticeably since the rise in fuel costs.

No matter how nice it is and how great the service history it's likely that you won't be offered much above £3000, sorry. I suspect you paid a lot more:mad:

Did you ever get the cruise control working?

Dave

I was offered £4500 px 2 days ago, and this strikes are because of the workers not the price of fuel. Also no matter what model or year it's still a TD5 so uses the same fuel.
So I don't agree with that.
I've been looking about the car market and all landys are holding there money

Well I wish you the very best of luck with your sale.

You do realise I'm sure that just because a dealer offered you a certain amount of money in px,that doesn't mean that the value of your car in the open market for a straight purchase, is anything approaching £4500?

You should understand that I'm in now way trying to negotiate with you - just trying to offer an un-biased opinion.

No but your putting ppl off there is no need to put comments like this, just like the first comments put by someone messing about ! Why?
I will sell it for a price I see fit

As I said before I'm merely offering you an opinion, and my guess would be that you'll sell your car at a price that you are offered, or not at all.

Of course you have every right to ask whatever you like for your car, but it doesn't mean you'll get it.

The wave of enthusiasm for Discovery is over, as a result of fuel prices.

Sorry don't agree I got my 4.0 landy 90 v8 for £800 sorted it out and sold it a few weeks ago for £4800 on e bay with no problems.
You see more discovers 2-3-4 range rover sports about more than ever before.

I think your just jumping on the band waggon with the fuel prices. Maybe if people stopped flapping the fuel problems would no be happening as there is no strikes planned

Who is talking about strikes? Certainly not me. The reason why Discoverys are no longer the flavour of the month in the way they were a year ago is due to the price of fuel, therefore the running costs for anyone using a TD5 as a daily runner.

The Defender situation is entirely different - they are much more often bought by peeps who/need/understand a working vehicle.

But as I said before, you can ask whatever you like for your car and I wish you the very best of luck, but ultimately the market will decide.

i too wish you the best of luck with your sale, but im inclined to agree with thebiglad and i think you"ll be dissapointed when you dont get what youre asking, but again i hope you do and wish you luck...
