For sale is my 2003 Discovery 2 TD5 Auto 5 Seater

170k (goes up with daily use) - MOT 08/2020

Auto with traction control, Electric heated seats, Heated front screen, Rear parking sensors, Climate control, Cruise control, Rear air suspension (with dash control for hitching trailers), ACE, HID upgraded headlights in correct RHD projectors, A/T tyres, Snorkel, Fridge/heater in centre console (needs finishing but working), Reversing camera, DVR front camera, Billet turbo core and reworked housing, Straight through exhaust centre, Stage 2 remap, Egr delete, Recent full service on gearbox and engine, Wired for DAB with aerial and adapter for working steering wheel controls, Recent rear discs, pads, callipers and new brake fluid, Front pads, Heavy duty battery, rear ladder, rear spots (need wiring in), dog guard, tinted windows, clock with temp/volts/time, wired for CB aerial (aerial included, CB radio not included), upgraded boot door subs, Harman Karden factory speakers and amp and probably more I have forgotten about!!!

Wired for twin battery setup, HD cables ran to one of the boot storage pockets, just needs a twin battery relay fitting.

Just had a full top end rebuild with all new dealer/oem parts, recon head, engine service, new timing chain tensioner, all new gaskets and bolts, new injector seals, new aux belt tensioner, thermostat, expansion bottle, coolant, expansion bottle cap and plenty more replaced or refurbed. Bill cam to just over £3000! Work was done due to a weeping head gasket. Engine runs like a sewing machine with tons of power and torque, and is much better on fuel now!

Couple of bad points as with all old Disco's;

Minor leak front main ACE front flexi. I have a replacement section ready to fit, never got round to it (its a cut in section with compression fittings over spec'd for the job). I have been topping up the ACE fluid as it does not lose that much.

Laquer peel on the roof, common problem.

This TD5 has been an absolute joy to own, we have put so many miles on it in the 3 years of ownership, from green- laning to camping. It has taken us all over the UK in comfort and has never left me stranded or let me down. It goes like a rocket when you put your foot down, the auto box is strong and it pulls hard in every gear. Its surprisingly good on fuel for what it is. Its been an absolute life saver in the snow and deals with all the recent floods with ease. If you have owned one of these, or a D1, you already know how capable they are, if not then you cant go far wrong for the money! I'm gutted to be selling it, but as it sits there all week not being used and only tends to come out at weekends to tow a small trailer or go green laning (never been ditched in the mud or beaten about, always used carefully) its not getting used at it should be any more so it does not make sense to leave it sat there!

Its not a new car so expect the odd blemish here and there, but overall it shines up well and all the panels are straight and dent free.

Comes with a folder of receipts etc.

2 Keys!

Its got a private plate on, this will be removed (not included in sale)(New reg RF03 ***)

The stereo is also not included in the sale, but I will leave the adapter loom and DAB aerial installed (powered roof DAB/FM aerial) so all you need to do is fit yours.

Sensible offers.
