Discovery Sport (Dec 2015) Timing Belt

I have a Discovery Sport (Dec 2015) and just wondered if it has a timing belt or chain and also what the recommended replacement period would be?

Hi Steve in case you haven't had a reply your Discovery Sport as long as its a 15 plate or less i.e a 14 plate or 64 plate with a 2.2 Litre engine it will have a timing belt. Interval is 7 years or 60,000 miles.

If, however it's a 2.0 litre with an ingenium engine it has a timing chain. You can read many thoughtful comments online about the ingenium engine. Safe to say at some point I would imagine sadly the timing chain may well fail..
