2019 discovery sport

Hi guys first post in this section I used to be in the series section but times change lol, I’m looking at a disco sport 2.0d 19 plate with 91k on clock I’ve looked into the engine and believe the timing chains were upgraded for the 19 plate, I can get it at a great price but worried about the engine having so many miles and potential issues, it is also 2wd so not sure about how good that is either, I’d love dome feedback if any of you knowledgeable lot have any. Thanks

Ingenium engine is to be avoided regardless of the year.

Lots of people spout so and so was upgraded on certain years, but just remember, the apple never falls far from the tree!

I know little about disco sport, but would say 2wd/up on the miles and an ingenium engine means walk away.

You could buy a really nice Discovery for that.

Up to 20k the 15k similar to mine but new chassis.

Or an engine replacement project

Blimey, 5.0 V8 petrol D4’s are still demanding top money , think them being ULEZ complaint helps a lot

Like wise if ur talking about the 5.0 N/A engines , there supposed to be very good after the chain tensioners are fitted with the upgraded ones

Thats lost a lot of value in its youg life. More than my older FL2. Not many on ere own a DS. There's a specific forum for them where you can find typical faults. Unfortunately they love to hate their DS's.
