Discovery Rear ended by a 56plate 3 series BMW

As per title......

I was driving through slow moving traffic earlier today,when a Black BMW suddenly appeared behind me and was Tailgating just a few inches behind.

I struggled to see him at first with the spare wheel in the way, and him being so close meant i couldn't see him in the wing mirrors either....but I knew the to55er was there.

Crossed a round about and lost him for a mo but sure enough he caught up and maintained his lack of distance behind me.

I was only doing around about 20mph when I noticed the traffic ahead had stopped dead.....
"oh dear"....... I thought,
"I will have to do an emergency stop in a moment, to avoid hitting Mr ford focus!"

So I applied the brakes Hard, My nose obviously dipped and my recovery point and towbar headed skywards......... an immediate bump from behind followed by a crunch as the back of my Disco sat on Mr tailgating BMW's bonnet.

So I jumped out to see if they were okay and to assess the damage only to find the chap looking at me as if nothing had happened. I think he was High on something.

There was no damage to my truck at all!

I thoroughly enjoyed destroying his bonnet and ripping his radiator grille clean off as i dragged my Disco's arse off the front of his car!!

Oh well, these things happen-Unlucky!!

Fair play to you. although i'd have called the police if he was high on something... he is dangerous being on the roads and could easily kill someone.

If ins. companies really pay people to trawl forums what a waste of our money we pay to them.

sadly- no pics as i didn't even think about it and there was no damage to my truck anyway.

Wasn't my fault..... like i said, i had to do an emergency stop in a moment... serves him right for tailgating.

Yeah the GF said the same, perhaps selfish of me but i just wanted to get home and couldn't be arsed with the hassle. If he had damaged mine obviously things would have been different.

Tow hitch is connected to chassis ....good hard smack on tow ball will fk chassis easy. Meant for towing nit battering ram. Have seen cars written off cos chassis bent by 30mph shunt

Feel so sorry for the BMW owner........... not! Glad no-one was hurt and glad the disco is undamaged.

thats it it this ever happens to me im gonna have a reet small sign on me rear diff just saying

if you can read this your gonna need insurance

if it had been me id have backed further up till i crack the fekkers windscreen just to make sure he knows hes a tw4t

not if he avoided the focus in front he didnt.

How many times have you been tempted to slam the brakes on when some1 is tailgating you?I get tempted a lot and often slam brakes on to warn them off, once stopped car completley and blocked road so he cudnt pass and jumped out and scared the living **** out of him. Because there's nothing more I hate than tailgating, in a rush and putting my familys life in danger. Tell ya what the **** who I stopped was so close up my arse I cudnt see the headlights. Never seen sum1 lock there doors so quick lol. N how the hell are insurance gunna link this man on this forum with the accident?? Not a prair n I think some people are a little paranoid
