Disco wont stop

Ive got a 'P' reg 300TDi disco which seem to have an interminatnt problem with the alarm, some times it will ock off the fob ok, other times the alarm will go off for no reason. Any ideas?
To top this off it has just started to no turn off when you remove the key if the headlights are on. It will start and stop fine with no lights, but will not turn off until you turn the lights off.
Are the two things related or two separate faults to try and trace?

i would say some how you have a short between the headlights and your fuel solonoid no idea about your alarm have you ever had any spiders in there car ?

Have you done any electrical work lately at all even changed a bulb?
I had same problem just last week on a truck engine would not switch off with lights turned on, traced it in the end to the wrong bulb fitted in a wing repeater, seriously took me ages.

thanks for that, i havent done any electrical work yet, not had the truck long and have been reluctant to play until i could work out what is going on with the alarm and imobiliser. seems to be working ok now.
as for the alarm, i dont know if there is a spider need to have the courage and time to strip the dash to find out.

From memory dash not hard to strip.
Might be worth joining the disco owners club, i used to be on there some very knowledgable people on there and of course loads of pics.
