Hi All,

I'd like to put some disco es alloys on my D plate 90, does anyone know what size wheel spacers I'll need to fit them??

Also are there any downsides to fitting them?

Thanks for your help and hope everyone has a good Christmas.

Regards,

Mat.

whatyouwannadothatfor? They will fit but you might have trouble with the back ones coz there's a drum brake there. They seem to work OK on mine though which is a 90! I don't get it!

they won't fit on rear axle cos D plate has got drumbrakes you'll need to fit an updated axle with discs.

some alloys will fit if you remove the centre caps. some won't.

Hi, got them on my C plate 90, had to fit spacers on the front as they don't sit flush against the hubs. I've got drums on the back and they fit fine. Only thing I have had to do is take the wheel centres out.

Here's a pic, not sure of these are the same as you are looking at?

Worth mentioning the turning circle is ****e with the alloys on, only reason I can see to have them is for looks, not everyones bag I know.

Funny enough the rears WILL fit its the fronts that don't fit when fitting to drum braked 90's/110's (I'll explain). Drum braked 90's/110's were fitted with the deep old type drive flanges. On the rear hubs they have the thickness of the brake drum less protruding outhan the drive flange and indeed the front. The front protrousion on the drive flange is greater so the rears will most likley fit. Its the fronts that sit (the thickness of a brake drum) furthur out and fouls the inside of the alloy. Some alloys you can get away with removing the hub caps and they fit 99% will not sit dead flush against the hub and is not safe. I have seen people with wheels that have been milled out and I've even taken down the drive flanges and bolt heads (the main part that fouls the insidfe of the alloys) on the fornt in an attempt to fit alloys. In truth its bollix fit later style skinny drive flange front axle and you should be ok. The rears usually fit just.
