Disco auto..

hi to all.
i had the disco's & defenders in deisle manual, for some time ....but no experience of the auto box.
so............whats the do & don'ts , the plus or minus of having a disco 300tdi in auto ??

hi ive got the disco 300 tdi manual fairly good on fuel comsumption round about 30-35 driving steady ........... i had a 300 es auto i couldnt get no more than 24 miles per gall out of it so swapped it for the manual i guess the bottom line is ......... the choice is yours and depending on hwo big your wallet is !!!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks for the tip, i get 30-34mpg from the manual disco.........so any less is a no no,...lol

My wife has a Tdi200 manual and we get 35-ish mpg and I have a Tdi 300 AUTO and I get 33-ish mpg.

i got a 300 tdi auto it does about 30mpg, if your getting lower than that your drving alittle heavy footed or somethings abit wrong elsewhere

How do the Auto's compare off road to a manual?

the auto has no probs with off roading as you can set what gear you want to hold it in and alot quicker on gear change as you have no clutch pedal and its a good strong gear box never had a problem
