My D2 had the rear airbags removed some time ago(before I bought it) and springs and shocks put on. Problem is now that I have upgraded to a large twin axle caravan the back end sits low and bounces indicating the springs and shocks are past their best. Can anyone recommend a parts supplier who use decent parts at a reasonable cost. Don't wanna buy cheap **** as I need it to behave whilst towing. Thanks all.

Any specialist will have the bags

Springs, Dunlop I think are OEM

Anything else missing see Ebay

I think it is definitely worth thinking about going back to air suspension I tow a twin axle and in the back of the disco I normally have a foldup boat and a 25 hp engine along with all the other stuff you take away and I am always amazed how well it rides

Hi...I think everyone was missing the point that you wanted springs not air bags. I put old man emu springs on mine and got them from Devon 4x4. I think most suppliers are in or around the same price. Don't be tempted to put cheap springs on either as they won't last. If you're towing go for heavy duty ones on the rear.

I would assume you was quite happy with your suspension setup until you "upgraded to a large twin axel caravan" so by all means fit HD springs if your towing every week, but u could or will suffer when u don't have the weight on the rear.
Have u thought of having the assisted air bags installed within the spring and pumped up when there's a need, that's something I had in my RR days when I had a twin axel trailer with a boat on top as is didn't want to lose the comfort of the standard spring setup the RR had for every day driving.

If as u say springs and shocks are past their best then replace as existing may work.
Fitting gas dampers are also worthwhile fitment what ever the existing suspension setup is in my opinion.
