had a bit of a shocker this morning when i recieved my Disco 2 insurance, Fully comp for £1027.72 a year from express insurance, They said it was the cheapest they could quote for.

Went on moneysupermarket and low and behold the cheapest quote on there was from.....

Express insurance £472.87

What a bunch of crooks, I went for the next one down Green Insurance for £473.66, so bassically i saved nearly £600.

I would recommend to everyone, that if you have insurance coming up don't accept the renewal quote from your existing provider, always get a fresh quote, Makes me wonder just how many people just let it roll on without even looking for a new quote, I know my Dad does, he's a sticker for loyalty, been with the same company for years, and on't even look at another quote, but to be honest in this day and age Loyalty don't come into it.

Strange how they could charge me so much and then offer it for less than half price on Moneysupermarket.com

try lancaster insurance i've just saved a fortune paid just over £200 with breakdown cover got to be worth it just for the breakdown cover:D

Yep - I was quoted £695 on renewal (it was £500 last year and no changes!) So I went on go compare and got it for £495 from the SAME COMPANY (Driveline). I phoned and asked why and they said its to do with on-line discount for new buisness... So customer loyalty definately does not pay!!

It seems that the 'really' cheap quotes from the likes of Lancaster and Sureterm Direct are only options on comparison sites if you choose a relatively limited mileage i.e. <8000. I'm paying £150 TPFT through Lancaster with an 8000 mile limited mileage policy.

last year when i got my renewal it was £695, i rang up and politely asked if they would lower the price as i had been with them a good few years. they replied, yes no probs and dropped it to £600. always worth a try.

So true, so if your a loyal customer and don't make a claim, BANG! up goes your insurance next year, what a STUPID way of working, surely these muppets can see that people will leave them

Always get a new quote every year, you'd be an idiot not to
