disco 2 gearbox oil cooler

My Disco 2 has the problem of gear lever sticking in 5th to 4th. I have done the usual of changing the box oil and cleaning and lubing the gear lever. I have read that in Europe they fitted an oil cooler to the box. Ashcrofts do a kit but has anyone else done this and dose it help with a hot box.
My intention is to fit a cooler on the shelf where the air pump used to be along side the chassis anyone got any views???

This is a known issue and is caused by the nylon ball at the base of the gear lever swelling and jamming, after a hot run. You will need to replace this component.

You shouldn't need an oil cooler to make the 'box work properly.

Yes tryed that Replaced last year along with box oil. used Evo 1 which worked for a time. has no one fitted a cooler out there?

not used the ashcroft kit or fitted one to a disco 2 but its normally a good idea ,all the boxes have provision for all cooler pipes to be fitted on lhs of box
