Disco 2 door lock mechanism

hello all, anyone got a diagram of the door lock mechanism on a disco 2. had the door card off today and can feel the piece of metal rod that turns when you turn the key in the lock. not sure how it attaches to the lock mechanism to open the car. don't even know if its broken or just come unattached. cant seem to find anything online anywhere. maybe just looking in the wrong place knowing me... cheers for any help

Hi Chas,

If it is hanging down then you will probably need to remove the door handle to allow you to refit it, the cross end goes into the door mechanism/actuator.

Or if it is snapped you may need to make / buy / steal another.

As @neilly forgot to tell you, the little rod from the key barrel to the actuator only fastens at the barrel end. It just sits in a small indentation which takes the flared cross end.
