I meant the cheap one you used a few times and realised it was more trouble than it was worth before you bought the hexpensiv one lol...

i did get cheap flaring kit in a Christmas cracker a while back - think it got left on top of a radiator and melted

if your desperate those kits are able to produce flares that don't seal - they just don't do it very often

if your still struggling in a week send me the measurements and i'll make up whatever length you need

thanks for your optimism.. still struggling in a week.. I think I'd be more than struggling having to go another week with no bleeding car.. and I'm supposed to have my daughter Monday so it's a bit more urgent than that.. but thanks anyway..

back to the taslk in hand then.. any locals feel like popping round tomz and giving me a hand.. preferably with a pipe flaring kit.. cheap or otherwise....

na you've gotta fix the pipe before you can bleed the car...

:D

well i went out today and did the other side while I was waiting for some inspiration on brake pipes.,. and the pistons wont compress.. so anyone give me an opinion on best next step:

Burn it, claim on the insurance
replace both calipers with shiny new ones and get new pipes while I'm at it
strip and rebuild the caliper that's didgy using on eof them kits from paddocks, get a cheap pipe flaring set and some pipe and make up the new pipes meself.
call the aa and get it recovered to a garage and let them sort it

obviously first option is a joke and anyone that suggests the last one should send donations to:

I need My Car Fixed and I want you to pay for it

Wiltshire

:D :D still smiling

couple of hours work and £50 and you're sorted.

It just so happens I might have a couple of those pipes, Tigger. getting em to ya mite be a problem tho. Is the pipes on a V8 the same as on a doozil?
