Sometimes, but then sometimes ah use Gunk or that Swarfega stuff... or if it's the discs then brake cleaner

gunk's more expensive than gold plated petrol.. and i''ve got brake cleaner for squirting about before and after..

Aye that's true, but ah sometimes aquire the stuff so not gonna complain

well it came off.. in 3 pieces...

then all was going swimmingly cleaned, greased, hub back together and on.. fought with the circlip for 1/2 hour but on eventually then DISASTER...


go on guess what I did....

yu either put the disk on the wrong way or the drive shaft disappeared up the 'ole?

noooo... far worse.. I pulled too hard on the caliper trying to pop the pistons back in and split the brake pipe... any idea where I can get a replacement on a Sunday lol.. bugger

by the way the metal pipe where it comes out the bracket is where it's gone..

niot all that sure what that means I presumed I would remove the broken bit of pipe and replace it.. is it not that simple then???

Laser Flaring Tool Kit 10 Piece from Halfords Price £36.99

halfrauds take the biscuit..

bet their brake pipe's £20 a throw as well.. might see if I can manage without the car for another week and order from fleabay...

those laser kits are pants - if you cant stretch to a pucker flaring kit (100s) take the old pipe to you little local parts man and he'll do them for a couple of quid - they'll all have perfect flares

those cheap flare kits are much more trouble than they are worth

no doubt someone will be along shortly to claim they have been using theirs for years and have never had a problem - but you wont find a cheapo flaring tool in a pucker garage or workshop
