disc to hub seal

well it came off.. in 3 pieces...

then all was going swimmingly cleaned, greased, hub back together and on.. fought with the circlip for 1/2 hour but on eventually then DISASTER...


go on guess what I did....
 
niot all that sure what that means I presumed I would remove the broken bit of pipe and replace it.. is it not that simple then???

And is grippa within waslking distance of me cos I'm a little short on driveable cars right now lol

those laser kits are pants - if you cant stretch to a pucker flaring kit (100s) take the old pipe to you little local parts man and he'll do them for a couple of quid - they'll all have perfect flares

those cheap flare kits are much more trouble than they are worth

no doubt someone will be along shortly to claim they have been using theirs for years and have never had a problem - but you wont find a cheapo flaring tool in a pucker garage or workshop
 
cheers for the advice Sean.. tell you what next time I see you I'll have your old cheap one off you.. I might have more luck with it than you had.. ;)

Local parts man??? I wish.. we have a halfords and a boy racer bling shop that I've never seen open in Trowbridge..
