Looking for some guidance please.
Trying to replace the mid xmember (the one that supports the body approx under 2nd row seats). I have taken off the angle brackets (off the new part) but still cant slide it in, guess the only way to fit is to lift the body slightly, question is do i need to remove every body fixing bolt (even the ones at the front) or can I just do the ones up to the bulkhead. Only need to lift about 1 inch.
Have tried searching but whenever you put crossmeber in it always references the Rear crossmember.
Thanks for help.

No its just in front of the Rear Wheel arch, its a bolt on beam the full width of the vehicle and it connects to each side of the sill. Part number nrc4171 crossmember floor 110.
Thanks.

Oh well If it had been the gearbox member I could have helped as JamesMartin has just helped me through it.

Good luck mate I'm sure someone out there can help
:)

if you have to lift body and removing sills isnt enough undo rear bolts ,stays front back ,front mouts seat belt brackets where the attach to chassis seat box bolts and sill channel rear ,if you have screen hinges undo locker and let screen hinge forward ,worth resealing before retightening if no hinges on screen undo brackets still easier to reseal than roof, it easier if you break seat box seal with suitable scraper and hammer

Thanks for help, lifting body option sounds like it could be a right pain in the @rse. Think I will cut the crossmember in two, then either bolt it together in the middle or weld it once fitted.
