Hi guys, I foolishly ran my recently acquired 95 Defender out of fuel a few weeks ago (fuel gauge misinterpreted!) ever since it had felt a little down on power and although running ok, black smoke pretty constant. I replaced the fuel filter then removed the injectors today, they were pretty coked up- carefully stripped, sonic cleaned and refitted with new sealing washers, link pipes etc. Now it runs terribly at idle, like on 2 cylinders but as soon as I go near the throttle pedal it picks up and goes like stink! Rough as hell at tick over, if the idle were up a few hundred revs it would be almost ok but clearly something wrong! Any advice?? She’s definitely packing a punch on acceleration I’d not previously felt!
