Hi all
2 months in to LR ownership and absolutely loving it. Mine is a 2000 Discovery 2 TD5 ES Manual 7 seater with Air rear and ACE.
A couple of weeks after buying, I noticed the ACE light appearing after the car was left for a week or so. It would stay on until you cycled the ignition when it would go out. Said I’d keep an eye on it.
Now, it seems things have developed as the light is mostly on permanently, save for a few times, and the steering feels like the QE2 ship, very disconnected feeling. My ACE fluid is at the correct level and the unit and piping beneath look good. Sometimes the light will go out and the system starts to work again - you can feel it working so this gives me encouragement that it’s not totally bust.
I had a Hawkeye plugin recently which returned a fault of both accelerometers reading outside of threshold.
Parallel to this, I’ve noticed that the rear right of the vehicle sits about 1.5-2 inches lower than the rear left - perhaps due to a ride height sensor either requiring calibration or replacement.
Would anyone be able to advise whether this could be linked to the ACE issue? It would seem strange that two accelerometers have gone faulty together?
If anyone can advise best course of action that would be great.
Thanks!
