Hi Guys. I'm looking for a small cubby box that can still be sat on to go in my Hi-Cap. Does such a thing exist? Just a small flat box I could put receipts etc in with a seat pad on the top rather than a full sized box that loses the centre seat.

If anyone knows of such an item could you please let me know? I'd be very grateful!

Well I wasn't gonna bother logging back onto LZ but with a post as stupid as this I just couldn't resist

A few pointers for you. If it's a cubby box then it's not a seat. If it's in the front of the vehicle and it's not an approved seat securely fitted to the vehicle. YOU CAN NOT sit on it

However if you dislike ya brats that much just strap em in the back and do a Gresham into the nearest river.

The usual attitude of reply from the forum - no wonder I don't bother visiting often! Some of the members here have been a great help to me in the past but replies like this are just plain grumpy and rude. They happen all too often.

I'll tell you what. How about if you can't give a nice civil reply telling me that what I want to do isn't a good idea then just shut your cake hole and stay out of it. I didn't come here and ask a perfectly reasonable question for you to be a prick about it! Maybe I asked because I thought there may have been an "approved seat" that covered this problem?

Sorry to the rest of the forum for my rather blunt and loud response but what's with this guy? Seriously, get a life mr miserable keyboard warrior! I didn't come here to have you talk to me like I'm some sort of dickhead!

Well so did I but it seems by the reply from gods gift to the forum that one must be an irresponsible child killer to even consider wanting one!

Even someone as "stupid" as me has no trouble guessing why his name's redhand... The ****er's worn it out!

I've found there are alot of tw*ts like that on here, such a shame :/

But anyway, I'd also be intrested in a seat like this if someone knows of such thing??

Sounds a good idea!

The trouble is "the banter" we are all used to as longer term members can come across as rude to newbies and unfortunately that "can" scare of/**** of potential new members with an awful lot of knowledge and info.

In newer US pickup trucks, it's common to have the center seat fold forward, and have a "cubby" on the back with a box, cupholders, etc. That way you have utility but the option for occasional seating. I am surprised there is not an aftermarket option like this for Defenders.

And there's a difference between taking the **** and being a ****. The first reply to the OP was pure ****. 25,860 posts would seem enough to learn the difference.

Looks like a dummy spitting session. Remove seat base and make a cubby box, remove cubby box and refit seat base for midget transport.

pikeys reply was both rude and informative=acceptable. If he just sed "no, your a ****er" then that would be a pointless thread.

and is the third seat all that useful?I think its a pain in the arse.Maybe chuck ya recepits under the seat with the battery...

A practical,low cost solution!;)

OPs best bet might be to make something to suit him. The cubby boxes are only a few bits of wood and MDF and some vinyl anyway.I mounted mine on2 by 4 for strength.

Something seems to have rattled Redhands cage, but I think he might be right about the legality of this? Personally I cant see the point of the seats anyway, who the hell can sit on that,a one legged midget?

well maybe if you'd tried googling it instead of been a lazy ****er you wouldn't have had to post the question in the 1st place..
