That's what he said , after I change harness he's going to call and run it through again , although when doing harness I am going to do injector bleed off. I also add that I did find a wire broke and rejoined at air temp sensor (joined with standard screw conectors much too big for small wire ) but he checked and joint was not correct but ok , but if it's been broke there then there could be others so regardless , I don't think conectors and harness is in great condition in general , and I want to keep this landy a while so trying to get in good as condition as I can for long term .So will work through bit by bit , one of the air sensors I replaced had no tip on it and I destroyed the one in the inlet by forgetting to remove before soaking overnight in oven cleaner. Lol my fault

heres some readings. If they make sense.
All cylinders while engine running both on rough and fuel trim. 0 rpm
Engine speed 780 rpm
Air flow 466.3mg/...
Fuel pressure high. 28659KPA. Max 114636. Min. 27636
Sensor supply voltage 1. 5.0 volt
Sensor supply voltage 2. 5. Volt.
Inlet manifold pressure. 28659 kpa
Low pressure supply. 385.8

All cylinders while engine running both on rough and fuel trim.
Engine speed 780 rpm. OK
Air flow 466.3mg/... OK
Fuel pressure high. 28659KPA. OK
Max 114636. Min. 27636 OK
Sensor supply voltage 1. 5.0 volt OK
Sensor supply voltage 2. 5. Volt. OK
Inlet manifold pressure. 28659 kpa Not OK
Low pressure supply. 385.8 OK

Thanks Nodge 68.
In an injector leak off test lasting 12-14 minutes bearing in mind hoses has a slight variation in length
Due to where I placed bottles , the following is measurements up the bottle in millimetres.
Injector 1. 55 mm
Injector 2 49 mm
Injector 3. 47 mm
Injector 4. 50 mm.
Would this all ok. Taking into account it was quite a long leak off and hoses were slightly different lengths
And all fuel was drained from hoses into bottles so no spillage around injectors.
Would you agree that this would be good enough as to injectors are ok .
Thanks in advance.

Thanks ( would you take a educated guess ) with inlet manifold pressure not ok would this be more likely to be a bad hose or sensor ,

The manifold pressure doesn't make sense. It should be around 100Kpa at idle and maybe peak at 280-300Kpa at full boost.

Head scratching now , Well will change the harness and will recheck the crankcase filter and the pvc breather valve
Again , sorry now I did not buy the whole unit I stead of just the oil seperater, ( mistake learnt there )
Then will get faults read again to see if they make more sense.

Ahh now he runs tests again there now and inlet manifold pressure today is 100.2 kpa
Low pressure supply 387.1 kpa.
He still thinks there is a short somewhere , he thinks he can locate , but I have asked him to wait till I put new harnesses on as I know there is joints in at least one so better to have good harness fitted and go from there .
Would the leak off test of injectors I posted be satisfactory .

Injector leak back is ok.
Can you run the live data again on the MAP value at idle. You need to be sure the value is reading correct. This would upset the engine running quite dramatically.

Yes the pipes are clean as new and its a new sensor , will get him run a live feed again after the harness is fitted.
Today's readings are ( as he sent me photo but I can't get it to upload .)
Boost air temperature sensor. 0.0 mv. ( Is this a fault or because its idling.)
Fuel rail high pressure. 28659kpa
Emissions homologation no. 0000004233
Rpm 779.
Inlet air temp. 24.0 c
Inlet manifold pressure. 100.2 kpa
Low pressure supply. 386.7 kpa
Meant to say he advised be best to get new pvc breather unit as he thinks the one it it is dry , sticky , and looks a bit jaded.

Sorry it's the boost air pressure sensor just in front of dip stick has one wire on replacement loom mine had 2 one of which was joint. So not map sensor it's fine with 3 wire plug
Sorry . Seeing sensors in my sleep. Flip sake .

The boosted air sensor must have 2 wires. I expect the missing wire has snapped off inside the insulation.
Ideally it needs to be corrected before the harness is fitted. The connector is cheap enough and readily available.

Thank you.
Yes and guess what , I cut the insulation and still one wire I suspect some one has tried to pull plug out and pulled wire clean out of the harness as even the female connecter from the plug is missing ,( would a injector harness ever be faulty if engine stars easy etc ) so got inlet manifold off and Pulled all my plugs from sensors etc and sprayed with electrial cleaner then blew out with airline .now waiting on the pvc crankcase valve then going to get faults cleared and see what comes back up .

Just a thought. Is the new harness from the same year of FL1? The earlier TD4s didn't have the boosted air temperature sensor at all. The plug you are looking at could be the single wire plug for the high pressure fuel pump regulator.
