could this be welded?

Got my mot on thursday and just noticed a hole in the exhaust and I'm hoping it can be welded as I'm pretty skint. i have tried to attach a picture but I'm on my phone so not sure if its going to work.

depend's what the rest of the area is like will it take a weld or blow

buy another it is oxidised more hassel to try and weld than relace

Temp fix is a metal patch with gungum on it and strapped to the offending hole with wire twisted off until tight. Don't waste money welding it, it's crap by now, save for a new one!

Sounds like Thursday is going to be expensive as i have the 3 amigo lights on too. i tried a new brake switch but it didn't work! what's the going price for an exhaust can you get just the back box or are the in one piece?

but if you use cheese as well you can weld the toast together cheese toasty i likes toasties

True on both counts, But can be done but beyond most of there ability. With tig you can even weld aluminum foil.

James you can rebuild motors really well. Some write in and ask can i rebuild a 300tdi answer is yes, but do they have the knowledge and equipment?
