Core plug need help can anyone help me need a core plug changing desperately the one near the bulkhead on the Land Rover 300 TDI I discover I am based in Sheffield please help
 
Well, an introduction would be nice ...
and posting of a Disco problem in the right section would mean you were at least paying attention ...
 
If am honest am a 75 year old man have not a clue how to use this site just any help would be good instead of sarcastic remarks just a bit held to point me in the right direction is all I asked for

Yer I definitely have the Knowledge the problem is am trying to get out to you young men is A am 75 so my mobility is pore also have already bin quoted 800 witch I no to b nonsense at my age thay try to take liberties what I'm trying to get across is is there anybody who knows of a reliable garage as I know this entails the cylinder head be removed with skimmed milk gasket Core plug removed new car plug fitted at a cost of £1.45 in my estimates this should cost between 250 and £300 or a wire asking for is a recommended garage

if its rear block plug or head ,then its best if head stays on but engine or gear box need to come out, and the other plugs replaced at the same time

Fair comment.

If you don't get any firm recommendations this evening I'll have ring round of LZIR volunteers in the morning to find out who uses who in the area.

Can you confirm it's the head plug or is that a bit of an unknown?
 
It's 100% the core plug at the back of the head ner the bulkhead there 2 plugs 1 is for the oil 1 four the water.have been told there a place in Rotherham but I Carnt find anything on Google.
 
theres 1 plug in rear of head, 2 in rear of block one of which closes cam gallery so doent rot ,ones in block are erc4996 of which they are 5 in total in the engine block that stop coolant ,1 in rear 1 in front 3 down passenger side
