Hi guys, I need to get a new set of shoes for the disco.

I have been looking at the usual insa turbos etc, but am thinking something a bit better would be more appropriate

I have researched the cooper discoverer stt and have the same tread pattern on my truck now and find them great, however they are not the best on wet grass and clay, although the coopers have side wall tread.

Also have been looking at the BF Goodrich mud terrains, the reviews read roughly the same and both sound good on and off road, however very different tread patterns.

I use my truck a an every day drive but can't afford 2 sets of tyres. I run 265/75/16.

Does anyone have experience with these tyres? What are your opinions?
Any help much appreciated.

Oh.. And I did a search and skimmed through the 200 odd results to no avail. Lol

Thanks tom

As usual, it depends ... mostly on how you use your 'truck' ... Do you do Pay n Plays, offroading, or greenlaning, if it's used every day is this on road?

I run BFG AT's and find them brilliant, but mine's mostly green laning, stopped bothering with PnP's due to nutters when we had kids with us. Only time they get stopped is very slippy mud, they don't self clean as well as true MT's. Very few tyres are great on wet grass and clay and if they are they'd probably be useless on the road, especially in the wet.

ive got cooper stt's same size as your after on a 90. ive found them to fine on the road, and great on P&P's and lanes. only times ive come unstuck (due to traction) was heavy clay/claggy stuff where it just filled up. insa turbo is still more extreme but im happy with the compromise.

As I said... The tyres are for the disco.. Truck is just another word for it like hundreds of other people call theirs.

I do mainly road miles but go to pay and plays and green laning a few times a month. Currently got the dakars on now and they are alright but don't last long.

So want at least the same performance with better life span... Hence going for branded as oppose to insa turbos.
