Hi,

Has one got or had Colway C-Trax AT tyres fitted to thier Land Rover? IF you do can you tell me how these perform. I'm considering fitting them to the freestyle alloys on my Land Rover 90. Does anyone know what is the best size to go for and what size I can increase the tyres to without any modifications? My current tyre size is 235/70 R16.

So if you have any experience with Colways please let me know how you've got on with them, good and bad!

Thanks

Simon

had them on my sereis 3 for a few months now(205/16's),they seem ok. work well on road but have not had a chance to try them in the mud yet but think they should perform well-they have the same tread pattern as the BFG AT.
just fitted a set of them to my freelander as well cos they are the only AT tyre you can get to fit freelander 17" alloys.(225/55/17's),again they seem to perform well but you get a bit of tyre noise at motorway speeds but you don't hear it with the stereo on.as for how long they will last, only time will tell, but i think for the money you can't beat em.

one of mind had badly cracked sidewalls less than half way through its life , i only had two.
so , im 50/50 on them.

my mum had then on her defender bit noiser and didnt last quite as long as the BFG AT she had on before mind you they are half the price, yeah i no what u mean nobber i have 2 on the back of mine now n 1 has quite bad cracks in the sidewall but 4 the price i dont think you can moan much

Its a case of 'you get what you pay for'
I've had 265/75/16's on my 90 for the last 3 years...(only do about 4000 miles a year) and they do the job..ok on the road..not too noisy... At £50 a tyre..i cant complain.

I had some Colway MT and they seemed alright - especially for the price. Got rid of them because of the cracking, though I think they were quite old. Shame they aren't still available as would have liked another cheepo set for the Pay and Play.
