The fan sucks cabin air past a thermocouple (temperature sensor) which allegedly gives the aircon better control of the cabin temperature when in Auto mode.

- old,ugly, tired in Lincoln.
its also very exspensive for such a tiny thing, when mine started to get noisy I took it out popped end off motor lifted rotor out put spot of very thin oil on bush bearing let it soak in for couple hours put it all back together been quite as mouse since.
