CB radio aerial fitting
Hi all looking to put a rig in the disco (04) but I am having some concerns about the aerial postion.
I had a look on the roof and noticed a rubber/plastic gromet towards the rear.
Is this a pre preped hole for such a use or am I way off track.
Any suggestions about fitting a cb/aerial in a discovery would be greatly appreciated.
This is a great idea here Cobra 19DX III Installation
but not much info on the aerial side of things.
Hope you can help...cheers

I fitted one in mine last week.

Aerial in the middle of the roof. Drilled up where the middle interior light is.

CB set up between the sun visors. Powered from the live to the front interior lamp. Not easy to get the aerial cable through. I used a bent stiff wire from the back towards the front, through the interior light hole, between the roof and the head-lining, curving from the right side.

It works very well, and the CB set is the smallest one I could get so it is neat up there. One day I may fit a bigger set, but (a) WHY, as they all do 4 watts anyway and (b) WHERE in a Disco 2 to put it?
