Metrocab, does look similar will check that.
May be making progress, I have been checking up on the standards that are stamped into the glass
I have 02 HC/R 20 04 HR 17.5 02A (with a small arrow pointing to the left above) E2 (in a circle) 3105
seems HC/R is Low and High (dip & main beam) beam headlamp with high beams not to be operated simutaneously, Class-B (usually halogen or LED).
HR is High (main) beam or driving lamp Class-B (usually halogen or LED).
E in a circle is Country of Approval in my case France (E2) UK would be E11
Beam Peak Intensity 17.5
02A an arrow → near an 'A' mark on a front lamp cluster, it refers to the side of the car for which the parking lamp built into that cluster is approved, and not the traffic direction for which the headlamp in the same cluster is intended.
Arrows:
- → Low beam is suitable only for use in Left Hand Traffic (e.g., Britain, Australia, Africa, Japan)
- [NO ARROW] Low beam is suitable only for use in Right Hand Traffic (US, Canada, Continental Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, etc.)
- ↔ Low beam is adaptable for use on either side of the road (many projector lamps and older reflector high/low lamps)
So to conclude my AMR4820 is a continental
XBC 104180 is a UK one like new (has date 27/01/98 on the rear of the lense) and identical in markings to my 2000MY p38 so will keep as a spare. Just need to look at the rest of my stock to find the other continental and can then put those on ebay.
p.s. All my lamps have E2 (in a circle) on them
Thanks for helps, suggestions.
