Calling all my old Landy buds and pals!

Old Pos here. Now I know I went against everyone's advice NOT to sell my yellow 90, but I'm a young idiot and now look at me. I'm a shaking rambling mess. I need Land Rover in my blood again so I'm after some help getting my fix. How could a bloody MK2 Golf possibly replace a 90!!!???? :(

I'm a little strapped for cash, but is there anyone out there with knowledge of a good solid 90, preferably with a 200tdi engine going for less than £1000? I know it seems like a daft question but I'm hopeful!

Pleeeeeeeeeeease help me, I've been scouring ebay for days. If there's nothing that's fit for me at the moment, I'm going to splash out a bit next year :D

Shutup! I've only got another year or so of driving a mono-cock piece of crap about at most. God, I can't wait to get another

to give you some encouragement, I got an ex-military 110 with a 200 tdi defender engine, with a perfect chassis with 6 months MOT for £690. You can be lucky.....

Know how you feel. Had the same regrets when I sold my SIIa SWB. Especially when the bloke that bought it left it in his front garden to rot away for more than 7 years. As far as I know he drove it home and that was that. Still kick myself for not holding on to it.

Whaaaaat! How did you manage to do that then? Was it a surplus or release auction? :)

I bought it on ebay. It was a C-reg. The seller had described it simply as a diesel, however I recognised the engine as a 200 tdi, the body was battlescarred, but that's no real concern when it's the right engine with a perfect chassis.

Have you tried looking through Brightwells catalogue (weekly 4x4 auctions in Leominster, Herefordshire).

Incidentally I should have added, I bought the 110 with the intention of breaking it, however discovered that the chassis was in such good condition, no holes or plates I couldn't do it. So it's till in use today.
