I've not been a member on this forum for long but I've read plenty of posts about how rubbish Britpart parts are, but despite that I bought a new set of lights a couple of months ago from an eBay seller and judging from the price I figured they'd they Britpart. I figured what the hell, it's only side lights and brake lights, how could the quality on these on these be bad.

Well, you get what you pay for I guess as after just two months, the rear side lights have melted and bulbs just keep popping out. Never again will I buy anything that's Britpart.

Its funny because I always thought the stuff was fantastic and great value for money too!! you have completely wrecked my weekend now you b*****d. I am going to stop buying the stuff because of you. Hope they go bust.

I have been buying & fitting Britpart spares on & off for over 25-years, I don't go out of my way to buy them but also I don't go out of my way to avoid them and I can honestly say that in all that time I have never had a part not fit or fail on me.
Their OE items are just that, the same part as the original manufacturer just in a different box, you take it out of the packing and it has the OE manufacturer markings on it and fits & works just the same. If you buy & fit the pattern parts then you have to accept that they are just that, a pattern part and probably not up to the same standard as the original.
Britpart don't make all these items in a shed behind their offices, they buy them in and they are usually sourced from manufacturers who are already making them whether that be OE or pattern.

If you are referring to the standard 90/110 light-fittings then they are probably the Wipac items which have never had a good reputation which is a shame as I used to really like Wipac and have had lots of their lights over the years but more recently they have been very poor.

What have Britpart got to say about them, I take it you have contacted them to report the fault, all items have a 2 year guarantee, as per their website.

Why would you assume they're Britpart, just because you got them cheap?
Unless there's something on them to state that they're Britpart. They could be from anywhere.
This thread should read, "I have bought some unknown, unbranded, cheap bits on ebay and what a surprise they have failed."

Yawn, how many times are we going to repeat this topic.
Britpart don't make anything, they are a distributer.
If you buy cheap bits in a blue box they will be crap just lkike everybody elses cheap bits.
If you buy genuine or OEM in a blue box they will be just as good as any other supplier but cheaper.

I assumed they were britpart because of the price, then when they arrived in a blue box with britpart written on....

Your post should have read "I'm a condescending arrogant a$$hat with nothing useful to say"

Nowhere in your original post did you say that you had any proof that the lights were Britpart. You said that you assumed they were because of the price. Then you went onto accuse a company but without any proof.

As for your attempt at insulting me, I'm sorry but I don't sink to those depths, so will not reply.

Haha, good ol' britpart bashing, love people that jump on the bandwagon without knowing the facts!

As has been said, britpart repackage parts manufactured also where, they do not make their own parts. As with all things in life you get what you pay for, at least with britpart you get thier warranty and not that of the cheap Chinese company they have sourced from!

I wonder how many people give the 'Im never using britpart again' and then go on to buy the cheapest alternative not realising it is most likely the same manufacturer!

Did I need to give you proof then, why would I title the post Britpart if they were a different brand? Again, please refer to my previous post about you.

Others have mentioned contacting Britpart for a warranty replacement but I can't see the point, i'll just to have to replace those again in a few months.
