it's not just me, we've had this conversation before - the net is filled with anti BP threads, nor am I repeating third party gossip, my comments come from many moons of replacing prematurely failed cheap components and watching the pile of scrap components that my farther used to keep in his rouges gallery becoming increasingly filled with BP offerings

but it's your money so as long as you are happy that's all that matters ;)
 
but surely if their parts were so crap they'd have gone under ages ago?

peeps get blinkered by the quantity of their advertising into thinking it's quality, having most of the landy mags in their pocket helps spread their evil gospel
 
ok then so if their parts are so crap i'll flog these bushes back on but can someone tell me where i can get a full polly bush set inc shocks, A frame and ARB
 
its the 'quality products' or some other **** on their boxes that make people think its good, and the price

all the stuff ive had apart from a bumper was ****,

the exhaust is poor quality steel, doesnt fit properly
brake pad retainers are the poorest quality metal i have ever seen and fail quickly
heavy duty spring retainers still had razor sharp edges on and bits sticking out where they had been pressed out and had not been cleaned up

but on the other hand i got a ****part tubular winch bumper that fits better than some of the others i have seen and is a much better quality

take the ARB's off, you dont need them and will save in buying pointless bushes for them

plenty of places, am not gonna spoon feed you part numbers but try lrseries
 
i had to change 6 wheel cylinders on a series in 5 months once that one had two on each front brake and some shoes i had grind some of the end because the were binding and the tentioners wernt even toughting the shoes cant think of any thing eles of the top of my head but has no end off stuff not fitting right and had to tweek or make due because it end up costing me more in postage than what the part cost

Hi Sean, I think you missunderstood what I meant when I said 'you'. I was not referring to the general point about Britpart, but the specific point you raised about Britpart bushes not lasting long.

if i take the ARB off won't the body roll be horrible?
Probably wont be too bad, but it should fail its next MOT. As for britpart i have used loads of britpart stuff and had no problems, some parts (like wheel bearings) do need fitting properly or they will fail prematurely.
 
thanks :)i might just keep it on as it must have been put on because it needs it, as for the bushes, seeing as there is alot of bad talk about them i don't think i'll risk the effot and go with different ones
