Why wont landrover sell me a brandnew ****-smasher, sorry bull-bar thats metal even thought the car is 15years old.

Do they stock them anymore? Apparently it is illegal to fit them these days, so when a pedestrian listening to his/her iPod walks in front of you, you don't hurt them as you run over them. They cannot be fitted after a certain year as far as i am aware, maybe Land Rover have taken the law into their own hands. Can't see how they can refuse to sell you one. If they have them that is.

They have a listing still but said it is "ilegal" to sell it now......why bother having a listing then or make it N>L>A???

I had a bump in a Disco the body shop refused to replace bullbar with a metal one, fitted a plastic one, which to be honest looked nice but would have been as much good as tits on a Mars bar in a bump. Supposed to be better for pedestrians who wander about like headless chickens on our roads. In Northern Ireland J walking (causing a vehicle to take avoiding action or brake whilst crossing the road) is illegal why is it not here?

oy i never been walking in northen ireland, or any where else..lol:doh:

Why do you actually need one? Do you have a problem in your area with bulls on the roads all the time, or just want it for looks?

N.I is a lovely place to walk and stay:);)

To prevent damage to the front of the soft dash. so If people cut me up I have to the option of not braking;);):D

You want to have a look at a few motors that have had a smack with bull**** bars fitted - mostly they end up having more damage than cars without them. They often push the bonnet back into the bulkhead.

OMG!!!! you lot are obsessed.........MEN!:p

I aplologize unreservedly for the reference to Tits on a Mars bar. It was intended to indicate the usefulness or otherwise of the said bull bar. Whilst i am very sorry for any offence to yourself or any other member of the opposite sex, it has to be noted that whilst tits on a mars bar would seem to be pretty much a waste of time, the same apendages (with no particular preference of size) may come in very handy attached to a suitable part of the female form. As with the bull bar i personally do not consider the imitation plastic (for plastic read silicone) ones, as attractive or useful as the real thing. :):):)

Stupid things:mad: look ridiculous (esp. when driving in built-up areas) adds extra weight to the front suspension & does more damage to the vehicle to which they are fitted if you hit a bull, always assuming that you can find one. Sorry, rant over:eek:
