Hi Fellas
I took a short cut home on tuesday and found a large tree had come down across the byway. Its rarely used so probably been there a few weeks - who do I notify?

The council for that area will have a Byways officer.

You are legally entitled to remove the obstruction, but only in as far as to clear access, not to stock up on firewood. Might need a couple of friends tho.

Or Contact your local GLASS rep, they will know who you can tell, plus it will help them if anyone else wants to use the route.

First, check it's a legal Byway, be sure of it! Don't incriminate yourself ..

Where is it exactly, I might be able to check it and pass on to the appropriate person in Glass.

Ive found the land owners (Highclere Estates) and told them. Theyre quite ethical so hopefully theyll get up there and get it done. Cheers
