has any one made a processor, of just used pure veg oil. been researching for a while. and wi running 4 motors. considering changing 2 for diesel

sound good let me know the results of using biodoiesel maybe better to stick with 50/50 diesel and veg oil I am thinking of building a processor using stainless steel tank and water heater pump and heater and presto but not sure about biodiesel into 200tdi engine 100%

got plans to build one a while ago. looked easyish using a old drum, but thinking of either fabricating one or buying blank conical one that u can see the glys at the bottom when its settled

concial tank are quite dear?? need to be 200 odd litres to make it worth while eh? your plan include water tank heater element??? that is what I was thinking of

yeh it does include heater element. fabrication isnt a prob as i can do it , but brother in law can get stainless sheet metal and roll n bend it for me. the big but is trying to get used oil, as looked at new oil but its gettin a bit pricey

don't want to give all the trade secrets away.....
just been on a 2 day course basically aimed at using my processor efficiently. which includes the health and safety (don't forget your messing with some nasty chemicals), the operation of the equipement, tasting the oil prior to transesterfication and testing after to achieve a good quality end product. I would suggest even with good equipment (and I'd like to think what I have bought is good) you're looking at 8 hrs (plus settlement time) once you become competent and after lots of practice perhaps as little as 6 hours (plus settlement). oh and don't forget all the time and effort involved in getting the ingredient for the chemistry, the testing equipment, collecting of the oil etc.....

almost forgot to mention....once I'm sorted out you'd be much better off just giving me a call (if in and around the B'ham area) and I'll get you sorted for circa 85p.

assuming you've not made it yourself have you paid the duty on it?
however I suspect thats not really your concern.

80p does sound rather cheap (where are you getting it from)?

have you tested its ph value and water content by any chance, obviously a high ph / acid value wouldn't be recommended nor water? going by the price I'm just wondering if its a fly by night type set up?

Oh come off it Caterhams yer fooking Spamming is starting ta **** people off. FFS it only costs about 15ppl to produce BIO so yer can cut the BS about 85ppl been reasonable.

I agree wiv pikey, my costings I worked out without duty about 17ppl to produce. Add you 48.35ppl duty and 17.5% VAT is no where near 85p. Plus, you only have to pay duty after 2500l, and then you have to get your premises certified by the ministry and keep very strict records.

if you're doing it yourself I agree.
but if you're buying the stuff from someone producing on bulk how much do you think they're buying the oil for in the first place.
from what I can see if you buy 13 ton of waste oil you're looking at about 30-35p / ltr. add the 15p / ltr to produce plus all the transporting / distribution and you probably end up at 92p / ltr which is what they are selling it for now by me. and I am looking to sell the stuff but to be honest at the moment I'm only getting a feel for the market. I've not yet been able to produce any even for myself yet and to supply as I'm aiming for is certainly weeks off, probably months - if I get there at all. ps. didn't realise some people where so easily offended surely you don't actaully have to participate in this thread if its up setting you?

No one on this thread is offended, just us Yarksheer peeps say what we see an dunt beat around the bush. Plus we like to rip the pee out of anyone and everyone.

92ppl?? I thought we were talking 86ppl delivered ??? Is your price going up?

fare nuff.

so back to my research.....:D

If I were in a position right now to supply the stuff to yar door @ 85p / ltr would be be interested......bearing in mind there would be a minium delivery to your door step of about 300 ltr but possibly as much as 400ltr?

and back to the 80p / ltr stuff, I am geniunely interested as that's the cheapest I've heard of although I've not looked into the prices recently, like I said round here its 92p.

I would be interested @85ppl and even taking 400 litres at a time.

Tell me are you charging/paying the duty on it when selling for this price?

Would you invoice and state/prove that the duty has been paid?

Are you able to supply 2500 litres to 1 customer without charging the duty??

I don't really want to give the game plan away altogether just yet as to the best of my knowlegde nobody is doing what I'm planning to do.
Re; your other questions its will be completely above board and yes you'll be provided with all / any documentation required. And I'm aiming to provide a high quality product to ensure repeat business without any hassle.

HuN73R - sorry just noticed your ? about 92p / ltr. no I'm still aiming for 85p. its just that someone not too far from where I am is selling bio at 92p / ltr.
