My 2012 Freelander 2 2.2 diesel is due for an oil change and I am pulling my hair out (whats left of it!) as to which oil to use.
According to the manual the oil has to conform to WSS-M2C 934-B.
I am finding near impossible to buy anything that complies to that except for Comma Ecolife. All other makes are either only made in 1ltr bottles or simply not available.
Any advice would be much appreciated please.

If it has a DPF, then you need a low SAPS oil.
If it doesn't, then a medium SAPS oil is fine.

A 2012 should have a DPF, so you would need a high quality fully synthetic low SAPS 5W30, which are normally designated as a ACEA C4 or ACEA C1 as an older spec.

I get my service kits from Advanced Factors, as they contain everything that is needed, not just the oil.

Spammer no I am vegetarian. I just need to be more careful with which buttons I press. I take it that once posted the post cannot be deleted

That's a very helpful list, thanks. The problem I'm finding is where to buy it in something bigger than 1ltr bottles! I can get Comma for example but Mobil only make it in 1ltr bottles in this country apparently.

Ebay or Amazon, if not using a motor factors.
I use Advanced Factors for my FL2 service parts, but get the wife's Audi oils off ebay

You want to ask that question in the Discovery section, this is the Freelander section which uses completely different engines to a TD5.
