I bet that he could get his insurance down by £3000 a year just by taking off the breakdown cover.

I'm not a kiddie so this is probably irrelevant but I changed mine this year and was pretty shocked at the variations in the quotes I got. ALL the specialist landy insurers were takin the **** with their prices. I was payin about 170 quid with direct line and they were all a lot more than that. Ended up goin with swinton through moneysupermarket.com 88 quid. That's a hell of a saving.

May / may not be surprised but it was £365 a month when i first took out the policy, it was only when i turned 19 that it came down a little bit to just over £300.

Summit tells me he aint insured. get a landy mag and go through all the insurers in the back, there will be **** loads.Then check compare the meerkat, tesco compare, money supermarket all that bollocks then youll know you have the cheapest.And with the specalists phone em up and play em off each other.Your motor cant be worth 3k so why insure it for that each year!

im with lancaster insurance and im a 30 year old bloke living in a rough ( ish ) area of south wales where even shopping trolleys get their wheels nicked . its my first year of car insurance so i didnt have any no claims bonus ( was a named driver on my parents policy cos i couldnt afford it in my own name ) and for fully comp on my 200 tdi disco with a £200 excess it is just under £300 a year , im well happy with that and i got that price through confused.com

You don't live in Newport do you? Drove through there once and i was very supprised the alloys were still on the disco when we got out!

Why on earth would you pay that much? Saving the insurance payments alone will allow you to get a proper LR



Incidently, just renewed our insurance yesterday (Fully Comp), ended up paying nearly £50 less for having the wife & me on the policy?? Not even the AA's rep. could believe the difference in price. Original quote for one person was over 400 notes eventually getting them down to £258, so not too bad.

thanks everyone i will make shure i dont get ripp't off next year.but 3000 grand and a kidney i thort i got mugged "..you poor sod!.. " only good thing was it passed the M.O.T so saved a bit of dosh.

i put my mum on last year and it reduced my insurance by 300 quid!!! was gonna do the same this year but it would up it by 100 quid!! i use confused.com for prices and it seems to get good results!
